Description
My fascination with dunes continues. We spent three days at Great Sand Dunes National Park and Preserve in southern Colorado. The beauty of the dunes and the mountains in the background is magnificent. My strong preference is to create an abstract, or as Ansel Adams preferred to say, an "extract", when faced with geomorphic features such as sand dunes. This is a close up of the interface between the leading face of a dune with the underlying sand base. The forms created are natural and unusual. My cup of tea.
