Description
Low tide at Bedruthan Steps on the north Cornwall coast reveals several small coves and towards low tide these join into a large beach which stretches for over a mile with plenty of interesting caves and rock pools to explore.
It has been suggested that the place name ‘Bedruthan Steps’ was originally given to the steep staircase which is the only way on and off the beach but has since been applied to the staircase, whole beach, and especially the distinctive stacks.
