I always look forward to the autumn months. They are not as hot nor as cold as the other times of the year and you can't beat the trees in Colorful Colorado!
Lots of hikers like to wander trails found along the "Devil's Backbone" in northern Colorado. The rock formation is part of the Dakota group that runs under the central United States. It continues west thru Kansas until it pops up along the Front Range of the Rocky Mountains. If you are exploring the area, be aware and on the lookout for the occasional snake that may dispute the right of way…
