In many places today, we are helped to make the roads safe on the way to and from our spawning waters by protecting us with the help of toad fences and collecting us in buckets and carrying us across the roads.
On stretches of road where our migration routes cross your routes unprotected, please show consideration for us. Keep an eye out and slow down to 30 km/h 18mph. At higher speeds, we can suffer fatal internal injuries from the air pressure generated by passing cars.
