Description
The front of Lake Sutherland dam consists of 17 curved arches between 18 buttresses that rise 161 feet and stretch 1,240 feet long. The concrete is 10 feet thick at the bottom and tapers to 40 inches at the top to form a walkway. It is said to be the most earthquake-proof dam in Southern California. The lake is currently at about 9 percent capacity.

Is that recent? It's a beautiful rendering of that nice repetitiveness of the structure. I thought they had closed the area, been a while since I've been there.
Guy Shultz replied:
About 10 days ago. The lake area is closed but the road around it is open. I so wanted to go down the access road to the back side of the dam but the no trespassing signs did their work. Thank you for the compliment!
