Description
I did an abstract piece of Cycle of Blossom using my photographs of flowers and created fractals (a repeated shape) to design each phase of the cycle of a butterfly. The flowers in the egg are all used in the process of designing Cycle of Blossom. For example I used tulips for its feet and a purple iris for its chrysalis. To make my piece more interesting I chose to repeat each cycle 5 times. From egg to chrysalis to emerging to flying off into the world. I've had a vision of creating the cycle of a butterfly for some time using my fractal design.
