A locomottive, pulling its passenger cars, from the Durango and Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad is on the bridge crossing the Animas River in Durango, Colorado. The smoke rises as the train itself heads back toward the station.
The name "Animas" is Spanish for "Souls" so that makes it the River of Souls. Some believe the river was once called "Rio de las Animas Perdidas" which would make it the River of Lost Souls
