the steps lead wind up through a lush garden to a house, typically set back in the shadows from tall trees. Another painting inspired in the beautiful area of the Cotswolds in England. Partly real, a lot added from my imagination.

Gardens are the one thing that tie me to the UK, though I ve lived all my adult life in Spain. And the love of gardens is one of 2 things, the first being Art and the love of painting, that my father encouraged our appreciation of. His garden was like a Monet painting, totally natural, always 'moody' and subtle surprises here and there, full of excitement and yet quiet at the same time. A place of love where he would spend hours and where as a family we would enjoy time together on visits.

I feel his presence still often in spirit.
