Laurel Mountain sets the backdrop for this view of Convict Lake of the Sierra Nevada Mountains, California. The unusual mountain peaks out at 11,818 feet and has a prominent coloring and textural appearance to it. A very mesmerizing presentation. Beautiful!
Convict Lake is one of the deepest lakes in the Sierra's. It is known for it's great fishing and crystal clear water. We were tempted to pull out the gear but time was not going to allow for it on this particular trip. Fortunately my lens was around to capture this outstanding memory.
