Common Tern - Sterna Hirundo

These silvery-grey and white birds have long tails, Black head and a red'ish orange beak and legs. They have earned them the nickname 'sea-swallow'. They flight is often fast and elegent and hover over water before diving for a fish.
These birds are often seen between April and September and is not uncommon for them to be seen in Nature Reserves in the UK.
