This is an enhanced version of another of my images of this parlor entitled Sit A While. The Punta Gorda, Florida, Chamber of Commerce is housed in a historic old home built in the 1800s and relocated to its current location near Charlotte Harbor. Many of the rooms are decorated with antiques from that period, such as this parlor. The old wicker setee and chair with matching small table is inviting. One can imagine a hostess inviting a guest into the sunny parlor for tea and cakes or cookies. In this version, I applied a pencil drawing application to the original color photograph and added a posterization effect to create this black and white version.

I am an exhibiting artist in southwest Florida and my art has been exhibited in galleries in Florida, Georgia and North Carolina and is in collections nationwide. I create abstract photography, mixed media photo painting, acrylic mixed media, and acrylic paintings. Many would make great decorative throw pillows or shower curtains.
