Colorful organic vegetables and free-range chicken breasts, cut in chunks, fill a wok on the stove in preparation for a delicious and healthy dinner. Welcome to paleo, or the caveman diet. It emphasizes healthy fats (Irish butter, ghee, olive oil, and coconut oil are my favorites) plus uncured, grass-fed, organic meats and plenty of organic vegetables. Fruits are allowed. Certain ones are best, such as berries. Carbs are limited, including processed sugars. No refined or processed foods. Anything with a long list of ingredients, GMOs, and so forth won’t do.
Bacon-lovers, you may eat uncured bacon on paleo. I often have it for breakfast with eggs on fresh spinach. If you’re ready to take charge of your health and give yourself the best shot at avoiding or beating cancer and a wide variety of common ailments, I highly recommend this sensible way of eating. You won’t feel deprived. I recommend connecting with a solid resource like Nature Path for support.
As soon as these ingredients cook down, I might add some coconut milk and Indian spices for a curry dish. Or, depending on my mood, I might lend a Mexican flair with some Ro-tel and plenty of cumin. Good eating!
