Cold Field At Dusk
Painting - Oil On Canvas
This large work was inspired by a very clear yet VERY cold day in eastern Washington (20 deg F outside when I did the study for this one... brrrr) when the frost on the wheat stubble becomes a force of nature in itself. The signal shed is iconic of the lone yet not lonesome landscape that is the Palouse.
