Today's full moon on December 16th, 2013 as it starts its ascent over the Big Bear mountains as it is seen fro my home. The moon was covered partially with clouds. It was a beautiful sight. I was also told long time ago that the camera cannot capture the yellow color of the moon... apparently that is not true--here the yellow of the moon is not enhanced but as it. I applied a texture to bring a little light to the picture since it was getting dark. In the background you can see the snow-covered mountains of Big Bear that is about 2 hours drive from my home.
