About 4 years later the convent building and the adjacent church were completed. It was surrounded by gardens on different levels where lemons and vineyards were cultivated. The church, convent and cemetery sit high on the San Cristoforo hill with beautiful views of the Cinque Terre coast and the Mediterranean Sea. . The coastline, the five villages, and the surrounding hillsides are all part of the Cinque Terre National Park and is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
