Description

A deteriorating vintage Christmas Card box possibly from circa early 1920's. The box has a nostalgia appearance due to the deterioration of the paper. Each year this nostalgic Christmas card box is set on the entrance way table along with other objects of the holidays. The display greats visitors over the Christmas Holiday Season. The box once belonged to my deceased mother. Each year she would keep Christmas Holidays cards from previous years and make paper ornaments to hang from the tree. This unique photo would make ideal present day Christmas Holidays Greeting Cards. Each year on my birthday November 25 I retrieve all the holiday antiques to display for the upcoming traditional Christmas. Visitors are amazed at my vintage holidays collection dating back to the late 1800's. I have collected over the years. My home welcomes all visitors and transformed into a winter wonderland of genuine artifacts of Christmas past.

Abstract: Collections consists of the records of both the Norcross Greeting Card Company founded in New York City in the 1920s and The Rust Craft Greeting Card Company, founded in Kansas City, Missouri, 1906. Both the Norcross and Rust Craft companies collected antique greeting cards. Also includes a small number of modern cards by other manufacturers, circa 1930-1980. Collection represents development of the greeting card industry, social trends in the United States and technology of the printing industry from 1924 through 1978.
