Childhood Memories is a digital painting on a blank canvas in Procreate with an iPad and pen. Digital effects applied in various artistic programs.
To be young and free. I remember being on the swing in our yard for hours. Daydreaming. Looking at the sun, sky, and clouds and wondering how they came to be. I remember the sunlight in my eyes and how I would just study every part of the yard we grew up in. My Nana had a wonderful garden and the yard was always landscaped to perfection by her hands. My Nana did all the yard work. The squirrels would meet her at the bottom of the big Maple tree and she would feed them nuts from her hand. I remember picking fresh apricots from the tree on the side of our home. Every spring, Nana would have us pick dandelion leaves for a salad she made once a year....it was so bitter. She said it was very good for our blood. She taught us a lot about the earth and how to grow vegetables and fruits. I am grateful for wonderful childhood memories that I am blessed to have.
