Chasing Shadows At Oval Beach

Finally called this painting finished today. I am not entirely happy with it as it predates the smaller study which has a looser quality that is more in the direction I am headed. I have not yet completed a painting in acrylic this year that I can actually say is completely successful, but this one came closer in some respects. These paintings are more about nailing tones and colors in real paint. I would love to live in that house that peeks out from the trees down the beach. (24" x 18" acrylic painting on wood panel)
