Description
CCC Worker. A tribute to the men who worked in the Civilian Conservation Corps and build Red Rocks.
Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Colorado is an open-air amphitheater built into a rock structure ten miles west of Denver. There is a large, tilted, disc-shaped rock behind the stage, a huge vertical rock angled outwards from stage right, several large outcrops angled outwards from stage left and a seating area for up to 9,525.
In 1927, the City of Denver purchased the area of Red Rocks; construction of the amphitheater began in 1936, and was opened to the public in June 1941. Since then, many of the top names in music and entertainment have performed here, and for very good reason, the place is magical.
I want to see U2, Need to Breathe, and Carrie Underwood perform here. Who do you want to see.

There had been a CCC camp about 15 miles from where I grew up…I hadn’t realized they also worked on the Red Rock Amphitheater. .nice image!

My dad was in the CCC's and so was my older fishing buddy from Louisiana who was sent to work in Idaho in the wintertime.. They both were wounded later in World War II and have now passed away. I believe we could again use something like the CCC's to help with our infrastructure problems.
