Description
Taken at the 150th anniversary reenactment at Mine Creek Battlefield in Mound City, KS.
Two men reenact a sword on horseback. Dressed in American Civil War period clothing these two went through the motions of a cavalry sword fight in battle. The battle of Mine Creek was one of the largest battles in the Civil War. It was the largest cavalry battle west of the Mississippi and the second in three consecutive battles on the same day as Confederate forces tried to flee Kansas after a raid.
