Inside the Cathedral in Santiago de Compostela, Galicia, Spain, pilgrims come to pray to St. James the Apostle whose remains are allegedly resting there. For over a thousand years the pilgrims or peregrinos come. Now many pilgrims come, not for religious purposes, but for many other self challenging reasons. However, the Mass at the Cathedral with the ceremony of the Botafumiero and the organ playing throughout can be an emotional finale for religious and non religious alike. As the crowds cleared, I managed to capture these arches and their beautiful hues!
