Description
When I started dating my husband, he asked me to teach him how to cook. No problem. I only regretted doing that when he began to tell me how something was to be cooked. I had been cooking for some 25 or more years and he had only been cooking a couple of years. I finally let him do what he wanted and he learned maybe I knew what I was talking about. So he loves to make caprese. However we disagree on the placement of basil. I like it in between tomato and cheese, he prefers it on top. So we compromised and he does both! We usually cook most dinners together doing different components. He learned to make my mother's salad dressing and actually came up with a formula! I still do it by letting my eyes and my hands tell me when I have the right amount of ingredients!

Beautiful presentation, Julieanne! Question...... do you share your mother's salad dressing? :)
Julieanne Case replied:
I do but I have to get it from my husband. My mom taught me by saying my eyes and my hands will know when the dressing is right. He wanted to learn so between the two of us, he worked out a formula! But with caprese, it's even easier! It's just great olive oil and great balsamic. I prefer more olive oil to vinegar, a good balance
