Butterfly And Bees
Photograph - Photographs
There was a great group of butterflies and bees gathered around the milkweed just out in front of Eagle Lake in Acadia National Park this summer. The milkweed had spread and there were many more plants growing allowing many insects to take in their nectar! They smell absolutely divine, and the bees nor the butterflies were complaining one bit. It's so wonderful that the Monarch Butterflies have found so many places to lay their eggs and grow their population. If you look carefully, you will see the butterfly eggs on the leaves, waiting to hatch. What a magical image and scene. Can't wait to go back next year to see how many more milkweed plants there are in the park.
