Description
I painted this in 1990 after a vacation to the Big Apple. I took a photo from the tour bus, many photos, and liked the busy street corner. It was not an easy painting. Drawing it first was tortuous. I decided to add a shadow cast by the streetlight and darken other shadows to brighten the bright colors. I also cropped off the left side to tighten up the image and add a little crowdedness.
