As I looked at my hummingbird photos, confirmation came that this one is truly a miracle. Looking closely at the chest of this little one, there are wounds still healing from a fierce battle with another bird. The right side of his chest has become darkened and void of some feathers. I nearly cried UNTIL I realized that this male annas, though in the porcess of healing, was curioius enough to fly closer in order to see what was making the noise which came from the shutter of the camera. If this little one could fly closer to hear and see what was making the sound, fight other hummingbird in adversity, I could become stronger when faced with my own adversities and trials..
Maya Angelou, a marvelous woman, profoundly stated we will encounter troubles and defeats. Yet, these defeats can show us who we are, we can rise up, and realize how we can still come through them.

Bless his little beak and feathers! A brave little warrior! Those beaks look very sharp. Even the tiniest creatures can teach us by their examples. They are testimonies of their Creator! Nothing is surer than that we will encounter many trials - whether physical, mental or spiritual - along the path of life, but, with the help of God these stumbling blocks can be turned into stepping stones and our weaknesses can be turned into strengths.
