Misha...so bold, powerful...LINES ...Beautifully painted ,...v..best to you. Even the brush strokes are linear textures...WONDERful! If you have the time, a behind the scenes share on your use of line would be a gift to us all. Your work is masterful...LF

Misha Ambrosia replied:

Hello my fellow artists and sweet, sweet Laurel!!! What really amazes me about ART is this; we all start with a blank sheet of paper, canvas, wood etc. and from there a LINE is drawn and forms into......ART! This lowly piece of paper becomes a masterpiece-we mold, shape, draw, create this into our vision! How lucky we are to be an ARTIST!!! "Bow and Arrow" is a strong piece-it's in your face bold type of art. The arrow with the highlight LINE on top of it moves the viewer to the right (this is the first piece of art on my profile page.) Even though the line is broken by the bows' shaft...it is too strong to be ignored! The complimentary colors, the texture (thank you clayboard) and the composition work well in this piece. Problems with lines...just like I had with the telephone poles in "Hit the High Road" I had to fight with this piece-a tug of war over yupo paper and alcohol ink and my paint brush was not helping. Normally, alcohol ink pieces are smooth, this piece has texture b/c I blew-dried it to death. I won-yay! In ending this message, I must ask you my fellow artists, have you ever heard of the song by Garth Brooks called "the Dance"? Basically, if you knew how the dance would have ended, would you have danced at all? Now, relate this to YOU creating your ART, like the first LINE drawn to the finish art-did you dance…yep you did! If you didn’t, then I sure you tossed the paper into the trash like many of our exes and tried again… Dance, dance, dance, dance and remember those dances! It will make you a stronger artist full of experience and perseverance too!
