I love this image mainly because it emulates parts of my life perfectly. Right now, we are all struggling, some more than others. I am eternally grateful for my life. There isn't a day that doesn't go by that I pray to God and thank Him for all he has given me. I am truly blessed. I have an amazing husband and three incredible children. I have the best of friends. I also have boundaries to safe guard my life and my peace of mind. But sometimes there are people in my life who try to push past my boundaries. My boundaries are firm, but their behaviors trickle in past my boundaries and disrupt my peace. This image represents their ability to test my boundaries. For the most part, the wave is stopped by the larger rocks and the small amount of water finds its way into shore. I am troubled that my boundaries must be refortified and made stronger so the water doesn't find its way into my peace and shelter. Thankfully, I have a family and a strong group of friends that don't test my boundaries. We have similar boundaries and rules to live by. We can relax around each other because we have the same values and hold dear the same rules. Do no harm is our motto. When we have friends or even family members that don't adhere to the same, our boundaries are tested. When will the testing end? When will we find peace from those who constantly test our boundaries and have no respect for them? Art and photography allow us to see the world and compare it to our everyday existence. This is my interpretation of the waves crashing over the rocks.
