Bound For Glory
Painting - Acrylic
A young fugitive/African American boy sits at what appears to be the end of the underground railroad. He gazes north were the grass appears to be greener. The 7 geese represent God's presence. The Finch represents optimism. Glory was a secret code name for St. Catherine's, Canada where fugitives would settle and start their new life of freedom. Bound for Glory or better things to come.
