Boozy On Bridge St - Waikato Draught Brewery. Hamilton, New Zealand
Drawing - Oil Pastel
If you ever go to Hamilton, this building is worth checking out.
The building sits at the end of the main street. It is across the road from the Police Station and next to the Waikato River. If you were to go left, you would find yourself on an old bridge crossing the river.
This building was that home of the New Zealand famous Waikato Drought beer.
The brew came sporting with an emerald green label, which was pretty much the same color as the building.
Waikato brewery brewed its first bottle of beer in Ngaruabahia back in 1871. After shifting to these premises sometime in the early 1900s, they brewed their last bottle here in 1987.
It is now a restaurant and a different color.
The beer truck was not in the original photo I took. It was an artistic license.
This piece of art would make a great addition to any wall in your home or a bar.
