Description
We arrived in the Fort Worth Stockyards National Historic District early to watch the cattle drive. Internet said it would take place at 10:30 but actually wouldn't start until 11:30 so we decided to grab a breakfast. Not far from where we were standing was Booger Red's Saloon. It is a quirky old west decor bar, pub with the posterior of a Buffalo taking center stage at the bar. Hanging slightly above is a possum. You can take a stool or saddle seat if your posterior can handle it. We enjoyed a wonderful breakfast with generous serving, friendly staff and fair price.
Booger Red's was named in honor of Texas bronc-busting champion Samuel Thomas Privett. There is a story behind (pun intended) the Buffalo Butt, however I think I'll save that for a future post because I will be going back. The bar is located at 105 East Exchange Ave., Fort Worth, TX.
