Baby Bobcats looking at nature. Bobcats (Lynx rufus) are both mysterious and
nocturnal in nature,This species is the most
active after dusk and before dawn.
Bobcats are nocturnal animals and during most
of the year, they travel at night, covering a
range of two to seven miles. They start their
travels in the early evening, traveling and hunting
until about midnight and starting again before dawn.
During fall and winter, this pattern is switched,
and they become more diurnal since their prey are
livelier during the day in the colder months.
Solitary and territorial animals,
Bobcats are graceful yet fierce predators
and are revered in Native American folklore
for their courage.They are incredibly secretive
yet powerful animals that are able to pounce on
their prey from up to ten feet(three meters) away.
Their environment is usually a dense forest,
where it has plenty of places to hide while it's
looking for prey, and can make use of its great climbing skills.
