Description

I started with a photograph of a little terracotta birdbath in my front yard, and used various digital editing tools to create this stylized version of the image that makes an interesting and attractive study in color, shape and texture. With highly-saturated color and a couple of layers of subtle added textural finish for a painterly look, it's a little removed from its photo-realistic origins. The various shades of blue in the glass stones that fill the birdbath are the most prominent feature, of course, but the oval shape that frames the stones and the texture and color of the greenery at the edges of the image also provide interest and depth. Scroll over the image and use the loupe tool for a high-res look at the textures. A simple, everyday image.... cranked up a few notches.... that works well on the wall, and looks great in so many other applications. Check out all the options.
