Description
While in California recently I was really enjoying all the flowers, plants and vine varieties that grow so lush and beautiful. These beautiful and dainty flowers are called Plumbago and I just loved the blue periwinkle tones of their petals. This macro close up shows the details of the lines in the petals.
Plumbago (Ceratostigma plumgaginoides) is a hardy tropical plant and is a great ground cover. The flowers last long and the leaves turn colors after the growing season. The flowers attract butterflies.
