Description
This Great Blue Heron pair is nesting in our neighborhood. It is fascinating to watch them work on their nest. The male flies in with sticks and passes them to the female who works them into the nest. I wish I could see the nest itself. You wouldn't even know they were up there when they are sitting on it. Blue Herons nest mostly in trees and sometimes build on the ground in grasses. They are choose a different mate each season, but stay true to each other for that time.
