Description
The Great Blue Heron (Ardea herodias) pretending to stalk his friend the turtle. They were both sitting on this log enjoying the sunshine, and the heron must have lost the card game, because he slowly started to stalk the turtle. I say slowly, as it took about 1/2 hour to do more than lift that leg before the turtle, being somewhat canny, managed to slip into the water and slip away.
