Blood Red Moon
Photograph - Photography & Digital Art
In April of 2015, I took this photograph of the blood red moon. This was the third one, starting in April of 2014. The second total lunar eclipse was in October of 2014 and the next and last one will be on September 28, 2015.
The blood red moon occurs during a total lunar eclipse. They happen 6 months apart. These four total lunar eclipses are called a tetrad eclipse. If you are planning on taking a photograph of it, you should probably check for the time and be ready with your camera. The moon does not stay red for much longer than a minute or two.
I had framed this just right, in order to have the tree branches in front of it. I hope you enjoy.
