Description
Black Swallowtail Butterfly Hatshling - this jung swallowtail butterfly I found as a little caterpilar and I decided to bring into a safe setting. We have had so few butterflies that I wanted to make sure they would not become bird food. I grow plenty of herbs they like to eat to ensure they are well fed and taken care off. Ones cacooned we keep a keen eye on them so that when they come out as butterflies we can let them out. I place the young butterfly on a save spot so they can allow their wings to dry and develop. If you look close you can see that the wings are not quite stable and still hang a little limp. It will take the butterfly some time before they start flying. After that they will spend a short 2 weeks finding a mate and ensure there is a new generation. Fair well little butterfly I hope you will have a full life.
