Black-eyed Susan Against Ferns In The Croatan National Forest.
Photograph - Photograph
These lovely yellow wildflowers are found along backroads, forest edges and forest access roads throughout eastern North Carolina from late Spring through Autumn. Native to North America they are a familiar sight in rural areas. Here a Black-eyed Susan raises up from a patch of ferns along the edge of the Croatan National Forest. This macro photograph was made several yards off of Highway 101 between Havelock and Beaufort, NC.
