Black-and-white warblers are striped black and white and forage on tree trunks upside down like nuthatches. The male has a black ear patch; females and immature warblers such as the one pictured here have a gray ear patch and whiter throat than the male. Photographed at Point Pelee National Park in Ontario, Canada in the late summer.
