Ballerina Flower
Artist
Ken Powers

Painting - Watercolor On Paper
Description
My daughter liked the Fuschia flowers in her Grandfather's garden so she wanted me to paint one. I may have to try a couple of these to see where I can most effectively add depth to the flower. We will see! This original watercolor painting is 10" x 14" in size and is painted with Daniel Smith watercolor paints on Arches 140# cold-pressed paper.

Perfect title for this lovely bloom... and I agree with Bette and Marsha that the background texture enhances the delicate nature of the flower. Another great piece, Ken! F/L

I'm with Bette on this one....love the grainy texture. Interesting looking flower.

Fabulous, Ken! The textured background emphasizes this single delicate bloom. I think you got it at first shot!
Ken Powers replied:
Thank you very much Bette! I was surprised how much texture developed in the background.
