Description
Calliandra Californica Tabardillo otherwise know as Baja Fairy Duster, is a flowering evergreen shrub that attracts hummingbirds, butterflies and bees! It is a southern plant found in Mexico, Arizona and California. I found this one in the United States Botanic Garden in Washington DC. It was so refreshing being in a beautiful botanical garden when I knew that my flowers were months away from blooming! I thought this was the most unique flower that I had ever seen! It's long stamens and petals were so unlike anything that I have in my garden! I wish I could plant them in Maine! I love hummingbirds and Butterflies!
