Description
These are little Bachelor Button flowers that are highlighted by the sun. They are growing in my raised garden bed near a stand of wild oak trees on our property. The trees are shaded and make a dark background for the highlighted flowers. Since the sun was on its way down it made golden brown colors in the image.
Bachelor Buttons are also known as cornflowers. They are in the Asteraceae family and they are native to Europe but are planted with the wild flowers here in the south because they are such hardy flowers.
