Four adorable Burrowing Owl babies, sweetly posing for their picture. (That doesn't always happen, in fact it hardly ever happens). Their mother and father are at the edge of the white sand keeping an eye on them. The adult Owls burrow into the ground and make a shelf underground to build a nest for mating season. The image was taken in Cape Coral, Florida, which has one of the largest populations of these small Owls. People come from all over the world to see these Owls, and they are protected. This image has been chosen for the Peace River Wildlife Calendar, full page February, 2020, in Punta Gorda, Florida, USA.
