Description
Australian Darters (Anhinga novaehollandiae) physically dart under the water to catch their dinner. Thier frontal feathers almost resemble fur. They're amazing birds to watch. When they've finished, they sit by the water with their wings outstretched to dry their feathers. This one is a male, the female's have lighter markings particularly down the front.
