Description
The aftermath of 2009 Black Saturday bushfires in Victoria that caused widespread devastation and the greatest loss of life from fire since colonisation. This picture was shot 6 years after the fire and I must say that it was a great scenery to photograph.
The tall burned ash trees that go up to 130 meters high covering the mountain with the full moon rising created a spectacular scenery that I was lucky to capture.
One hundred and seventy-three people tragically lost their lives, 414 were injured, more than a million wild and domesticated animals were lost and 450,000 hectares of land were burned.
