Description
A fun arrangement of flowers in a watering can. I intentionally avoided glazing the flowers too much in order to maintain their vibrancy. I used a combination of Sennelier, Daniel Smith, Winsor & Newton, and Rublev watercolor paints for this piece while the substrate was Sennelier 140# Cold-Pressed paper. This paper really helped interact with the paints to create interesting subtle texturing. The original is 12"x16" in size.

Excellent work, Ken! You achieved your goal - the flowers are amazingly vibrant. Absolutely beautiful work!
Ken Powers replied:
Thanks Bette! I was going to add some intensely dark areas in the petals to create depth but decided not to as I didn't want to dull down the mixed purples in any way.

Lovely piece Ken! The colors are wonderful, and so detailed!
Ken Powers replied:
Thank you Kathy! I had a tough time getting the colors correct in the image scan. This is pretty close though.
