Description
Per Wikipedia, Antietam Creek is a 41.7-mile-long tributary of the Potomac River located in south central Pennsylvania and western Maryland in the United States, a region known as the Hagerstown Valley. The creek became famous as a focal point of the Battle of Antietam during the American Civil War. The term "Antietam" is thought to be a derivative of an Algonquian phrase meaning "swift-flowing stream."

John, I love your composition in this beautiful and serene creek capture! The water is mesmerizing with it's swirls and flow! Really enjoy the details in that beautiful tree with it's root system going into the water as well as along the shore line! LF

Very cool scene John. I go to Harpers Ferry a few times a year. I am trying to figure out where you took this shot from. Very stunning. Love the colors and ripples in the water. Another great piece of art work! L.

Great eye Emmy! I made a mistake because this was part of the day's shoot. This is Antietam Creek, also a Civil War site and part of the Antietam National Battlefield.
