Flanked by statues of Egyptian gods, Amon Lisa (read: Mona Lisa) holds the empathic orbicle of light, part of the living, rebreathing mask of the Fin Cephalarvum, high above her headdressed head to shine its radiance over the magical world of Finfaeria in the aquatic realm of Planet Zootopia.
(NOTE: The shimmering scores of reflected light embedded in the surface of this painting are the result of using joint compound applied with a tile adhesive trowel to make an unusual support for the oil paint, which I applied over the surface of the textured ground. When properly lit with a halogen spotlight, the image shimmers as the viewer moves from side-to-side in front of the painting, creating the illusion that it is wet and virtually underwater.)
