Description

Parakeets can be found in southern Florida and Nothern Florida in the warmer months. Many times on electric wires, but if you keep your eye out for them at the beach, you may find them in the dunes feeding on the sea oats. I have seen them in Saint Augustine and in Tampa, Florida along the coast. This photo was taken in Tampa on a day when hundreds of parakeets came to feed.

Beautiful bird capture! Yes, these birds are in the Tampa area near me. There's a flock of about 30 who fly by my house all the time, making quite a racket, but they are fun to watch for sure! l/f
