Description
I know the title is a little "over the top," but then, so is the image. I've taken a simple close-up shot of a thistle plant, and gone to some extremes with the editing to give it an surreal, otherworldly look. The actual form is clearly evident, but with the image converted to grayscale, the contrast and sharpness jacked up, it really doesn't look like a benign (albeit prickly) plant....more like something from a '50s sci-fi flick. Anyway, thought it was a fun experiment, with a fun, interesting outcome.
